( STARTING your journey )
Welcome to Eye of the Sphinx; an original warrior
rpg, we are delighted you found us! This is our
first rendition of the Warrior Cats Saga and this is
a very momentous thing that you all get to witness
today. We all know that the first few days on a site
can be stressful for not only the admins but the
members as well; so let's all start out by reading
the site rules and hopeful it will make all our
problems easier.
( STARTING your journey )
Now that you have registered your account, there
are a few things we need to go over before you can
start role-playing on the site. I know it sounds like
it is a lot of rules but this is only the beginning.
Now that you have made your account, let's start out
with creating your character. Creating your
character is very simple. Please keep to using normal
names, like names from nature that the cat's would
know! Feel free to check out this place if you need help
with naming a clan cat. The Clan-Less on the other hand can
have whatever name you desire. Please note we are a one
character per account site, so please make a new account
for each character!
When creating a cat; we do not allow powers of any
sort. This includes flying, sensing feelings, fire
manipulation, water manipulation, telekinesis or
whatever else you are able to think of.
After your character has been created, you will need
to wait until it is accepted to post in the board any-
where. If you are posting in the out of character or the
other category, that is all-right though. While waiting
for your character to be accepted, you cannot hassle the
staff, wait until one of us has accepted your cat. If you
have waited longer than three days, feel free to message
a staff regarding why the wait in acceptance.
( the FIRST time you play )
Once your character has been accepted, it will be moved
to the accepted board where you can find it should you
ever need to look back at your biography. Now, you can
do a number of things. You can either start a thread with
your character, make a plot page for your character, or
you can put up a tracker for your characters, any of
which you can do at any time.
When creating your first post for your character; there
are a few things to remember. Our role-play is for third-
person role-playing only, meaning that you should be
talking with "He, she, they" not "I, me, we". Thinking is
different, you can think in first person should you choose.
We are a literate role-play and so we expect the posts in
our forum to be full sentences. This includes capitalization,
correct grammar, and punctuation, as well as proper
spelling. We do not have a word count, but we expect that
if you are posting with someone that has four hundred words;
you should be trying to match their post at the very least.
When making a plot page, you can make as many plot pages as
characters you have. Please make sure though that you keep
track of these character pages because you will only be
allowed to make one for each character unless you have an
administrator delete it. If you do this, you need to private
message the main owner to have this done or ask them on
the chat-box. Just make sure that you do not bug them and give
them the option to do it whenever they need it.
If you are creating a character tracker, you are only allowed
to make one. If you have many characters and keep adding to
you can do so but you need to be able to do that without
creating a new one. If you are in need of a new tracker, you
can do so; but only if you ask the staff to delete the tracker for
you so you can start over.
( CHATTING it up )
The chat-box is located to the left of the screen. While it
is there, this is for the members that choose to use it. If
you do not want to, don't! Members are allowed to talk about
anything on here, but there is no advertising, spamming, role-
playing, or mimicking on the chat-box.
We do not allow advertising of any sort. If you have a link
behind your name in a house; that is not considered to be
advertising. If you are posting the link in the box, that is!
It does not matter if you are from this site or not, there will
be no advertising on the site''s chat-box. We have a board
for that.
Spamming and role-playing are not allowed in the chat-box
because it can disrupt from the order of the chat-box. Spam-
ming is when you put five or more posts of complete non-
sense or smiley faces up in a row. Should you do this; you
will be warned, the next time you do this you will lose your
privileges to the chat-box.
Role-playing in the chat-box is annoying and quite ridiculous.
We have boards dedicated to role-play and if you are not going
to use them then this isn't the site for you.
As for mimicking; this is when you are mimicking staff, or
taking authority into your own hands. If you see something
wrong; use Print Screen and CTRL + C and send it to the
main owner; we will handle it from there.
( the character's LIFE )
The cats in this board are Clan cats and Clan-Less only. There
are no humans, thus there are no, or only a few former kitty-pets
(you must message staff) as well but this is it. Clan-Less typically
are cats who were exiled, or loners and rogues. There are to be
no mutations of cats, no foxes, and no badgers role-played, or
any other kind of creature, nor big cats. Please note, humans have
died off, so please take that into consideration in role-playing.
When role-playing these cats, remember that this board is
meant to be PG-13 in rating. This is only because of violence,
and even then the violence that happens will not be too
extreme. You must be thirteen or older to be a member, if we
discover you are younger, we will delete your account. This is
accordance to Proboards rules.
Cat's can't swear. They just don't. If you are going to have a
swear word in your post at all; it can only be in the context
of the post, but not in what your character is saying. This
also means that your character cannot think in swear words.
Please note that the setting in in Egypt, thus the scenary and
other animals found are native to Egypt, as are any former
human dwellings and monuments. All felines believe in the gods
and goddesses of ancient egypt, as well.
